Charles “Chuck” Edward Baker, 62, of Orlando, Florida, went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2019. He was born to Dick & Beverly “Granny” Baker on December 25, 1956, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Baker is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers David, Robert, and Thomas Baker. He is survived by his loving wife Jade D. (Lang); daughter Carol McDermott (Russell); grandchildren Mykaela Worden, Jeffrey Worden, and Elena McDermott; brother Richard Baker (Maggie); brother-in-law Dayton Lang (Peggy); Aunt Betty Finn; cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Baker’s family moved to Orlando in 1960. He grew up in his father’s auto mechanic shop and loved all things related to cars, especially the classics. He and his wife participated in many car shows with their classic ’55 Chevy pick-up, ’72 Chevelle and ’81 Z28. These cars also cruised the brick streets of Old Town, Kissimmee, in the Friday and Saturday Night Cruises with Cruise Master, Michael T. When he wasn’t driving, he was restoring and maintaining their current rides.
He was an active, faithful member of Christ the King Episcopal Church in Orlando and was Jr. Warden on several vestries. He served the Lord in many capacities, but especially loved being an usher; working in the Food Pantry ministry; Memorial Garden ministry and using his mechanical gifts wherever necessary.
Chuck greeted everyone with a beautiful smile and never met a stranger! He loved his family and friends, and will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. The Rev. Dr. Edward A. Weiss will officiate Chuck’s Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, October 5th, 2019, at 1:00p, at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 26 Willow Drive, Orlando, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Christ the King Family Fund will be greatly appreciated.

To the Baker family, especially Jade, my sister Angela Strode’s very good friend, I am so sad for you at this time. Angie spoke so highly of Chuck and Jade for many years. I cannot imagine your great sorrow at this loss for your family. Thank the Lord you know that he is in a much better place now, without any pain, sorrow, or worries. That is wonderful for each of you to know. We will be praying for you in the coming days as you adjust to this transition. God bless you all.
Sincerely, Danny and Elaine Bellamy

My heart is with you, Jade. I cannot even begin to express how sorry I am to learn of Chuck’s passing. I will always appreciate the times you both stopped by the house to help my mom with projects she wasn’t able to complete. Jay and I (and my mom) will always be grateful for you both <3
