James Frederick Bennett, 86, of Orlando, FL departed this world peacefully on January 18, 2022. He was born and raised in Montreal and immigrated to Virginia in 1961 with his wife and family. After the loss and passing of his beloved wife, Ilse Bennett, he relocated to Orlando. There, with God’s blessing, he began a new chapter of his life with Kathe Swanson. He enjoyed joining some mens’ prayer groups, traveling overseas with his fiancé to Europe, Morocco, Spain, the Holy Land as well as Paul’s Journey and was an active member of the Cross Road Impact Church. He was proud to have gone with a church choir group and performed in Carnegie Hall. He was a skilled woodworker and cross-stitcher. He is survived by his fiancé, Kathe Swanson, his daughters, Joani Ziske, and husband, Peter; Cindi Phares and husband, Willie, his son, Robert Bennett and his grandchildren, Laura Kolb and husband, Bill; Joseph Ziske; Jaymie Marocco and husband, Anthony; and Brianna Phares. He was proud of his four great grandchildren, Emma and Everly Kolb; Lucca and Siena Marocco. A memorial service will take place at a later time.
