Kenneth Lee Davis Jr., known as “Kent,” passed away peacefully, on August 20, 2024 at the age of 40. Born in Fort Myers, Florida on July 7, 1984 to mother, Shirley Jean Howard (Aunts: Latanyila Gomillia and Henrietta Howard, Uncles: Lonnie Howard and Jessie Howard) and father, Kenneth Lee Davis Sr. (Deceased Uncle: William Davis) Kent grew up in Fort Myers and later moved to Orlando during his younger years where he built lasting relationships with many people. The amazing vibe that he would spread throughout his environment was genuine.
Kent and Sonia Tyus shared memories with their three children, Zalika Tyus (step-daughter) Za’haroah Tyus-Davis, and Zaire Tyus-Davis, who were the pride and joy of his life. His love to his family extended to his granddaughter, Alani Griffin, with whom he shared a loving bond.
He is also survived by his beloved brothers, Edward Smith, Zackary Howard, and his sister, Kanika Davis, who will forever cherish the memories of their time together.
Kent was a source of love, he had the gift to gab (he would literally talk you out of anything lol!!!) and he was a genuine person for all who knew him. He leaves a large host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, who will continue to hold him close in their hearts.
Although, his motto was, No Love, No Lost he showed so much genuine Love to all he came in contact with. Kent’s kindness, desire to share with what he had, and warm spirit touched the lives of many. He was baptized at the Westside Church of Christ and became a member of the Body of Christ in Jacksonville, Florida on March 3, 2013. He will forever be remembered for his infectious laughter, his unwavering loyalty to his Mother, and the love he freely gave to all who knew him.
As we say goodbye, we remember Kent, lil heavyweight, lil Kent, Dread, and Boda (Boda Crest)as a man who lived his life with passion, dedication, and an open heart. His legacy will live on through his children, family members, and the countless lives he impacted during his time with us. Thank you for all the calls and concerns in dealing with this stressful time. He had a big impression on a lot of people lives streaming from Fort Myers to Jacksonville, and to Orlando, Florida.
Kent’s life and the everlasting mark he left on the world will forever be remembered! He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain with us always.
