Karen Sellers says
Grandpa passed the morning of my birthday. Grandma and Tammy were with him; he was surrounded by love until the very end.
I will miss him so very very much. So many of my favorite memories from growing up have my grandpa in them.
Like how he turned me into a pickle thief by offering me a pickle to get me to go away and then was shocked when I asked for more.
Or how he taught me that if I wanted to catch a bird in the wild I needed to run up to them shouting “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” 😂
He’d set up a chair next to the bathroom sink and let me “shave” my face with him.
For the longest time I was convinced that an evil goat lived under bridges and would eat me if I didn’t pass his three question trial (Billy Goat Gruff anyone?) because of Grandpa.
I’ll never forget the summer he planted too much okra and it seemed like that’s all we ate. Or how the mangos irritated his skin.
Even up until we moved, he’d still randomly take Grandma and me out to Outback for steak and quality time.
I hope he’s having grand adventures 💜 in the meantime he stays alive in our memories and stories. Until we meet again grandpa, I love you.
