Deborah Parker DeLoach, 69, of Clermont, FL passed away on October 21, 2024 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. She was born on February 10, 1955 to Edward and Sue Parker in Orlando, FL. She graduated from Oviedo High School in 1973 and was named “Miss Oviedo High School” her senior year. She attended Florida Southern College and graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 1976. Debbie was a resident advisor and president of her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, in college. After graduating, she began teaching 3 rd grade at Lake Highland Preparatory School. After earning her Master of Education from UCF, she became the Director of Lower School at Lake Highland. Debbie married Bobby DeLoach on June 29, 1991 and became a wonderful stepmother to Julie and Ryan. She is known by her grandchildren as “Dee Dee” and was very active and present in their lives. Debbie was an avid reader who loved to travel and spend time with her friends. She retired in 2020 after leading and serving Lake Highland Preparatory School for 44 years.
Debbie Parker DeLoach was predeceased by her father Edward Parker. She is survived by her husband Robert DeLoach, her children Julie (Daniel) Gutherman and Ryan DeLoach, her grandchildren Emily, Cole and Ivy, her mother Sue Parker and her siblings George (Faith) Parker, Cindy (Mike) Ferguson and Avery (Kevin) Parker.
The DeLoach family invites you to attend Debbie’s Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Harriett Coleman Center for the Arts on the Lake Highland Preparatory School campus. The Celebration of Life will be immediately followed by a reception hosted by the DeLoach family in Maxwell Station adjacent to the Debbie DeLoach Creativity Courtyard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to be made to the Lower School at Lake Highland Preparatory School in honor of Debbie DeLoach.
