Elizabeth Scott aka Mom/Maw/Nana was born and raised in Bethel, North Carolina with her other brothers and sister whom she always loved dearly. Liz and her family were blessed to have their loving and warm Mother Lil. Grand Mom Lil was a strong, “Salt of the Earth Woman.” She taught her children the importance of strong family values that Liz never forgot. These values included showing compassion for one another and looking out for your neighbors. Liz always showed kindness to anyone who crossed her path whether in Bethel, Philadelphia or Florida. She was always there with a smile and joy in her heart. She never stopped giving her all to her brother Buddy, daughter Allie, God daughter Monique (who she helped raise from a infant) and being a wonderful Nana to her granddaughters Ayana and Saniya. Liz will be missed in many circles. If you want to do her a favor, remember the joy she received from making other people happy. Remember her smiling when she sang along to her favorite record and told you to “get up and get down and dance.” The joy she received from cooking for family and friends, sewing, and talking to her plants. JOYFUL is how she lived and JOYFUL is the way she would like to be remembered.
